Research Information
BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid sequence derived from a fragment of human gastric juice protein BPC. Unusually for a peptide of this size, it is stable in aqueous solution and in gastric-like pH, which is one reason it appears so often in benchtop protocols.
Published in-vitro work centres on fibroblast migration and proliferation assays, tube-formation and other angiogenesis readouts, VEGFR2 signalling, nitric-oxide pathway studies, and models of tendon and gut epithelial cell behaviour. It is also used as a comparator peptide in wound-closure scratch assays.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water down the vial wall, keep refrigerated after reconstitution, and aliquot for longer storage.
Supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. Not for human or veterinary use, and not for food, drug, cosmetic or diagnostic application.
